Everyone's Afraid of the Dark

In 1848, I toiled in the cotton fields under the scorching sun, striving to ensure my wife and son could survive another day. However, there was no guarantee that my family would see another day or wouldn’t be sold off to the lowest bidder. Determined to escape, I decided to take my family and run. I knew we wouldn’t get far, as The Master and his hounds were right behind us, tracking our scent. When we were finally caught, the Master beat my wife and me with a whip and took our 5-year-old child away from us. He whipped my wife so severely that she died from her injuries. As for me, he threw me into a dark box with no light or air. I knew I was going to die in that box. Although I had never been afraid of the dark before, I promised myself that because of my loss, I would ensure that everyone would fear the darkness. After my death, I have risen out of the Shadows and taken my revenge against the master who had enslaved me.

Included the house slave who betrayed me and my family. But I felt that was not enough, I needed to go after their ancestors to get stronger. I wanted to break free from my torment and escape the darkness. It all starts with Michael Thompson. He’s the key to my salvation. I will make him and whoever crosses his path afraid of the dark.
